"Internet Council membership provides an 'eye opening' opportunity for the Federal Reserve. Our retail payments business is mainstream, traditional, and well-defined. Being involved with the Council exposes us to what the future of payments might be -- that includes insight into consumer payments preferences, access options, business payments trends, barriers to adopting electronic payments, and payments innovations. You might say that Internet Council membership encourages us to think outside the payments box." Susan Robertson, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta

Meetings
The Internet Council convenes as
a body three times annually. These meetings span two to
three days, and consist of educational sessions, industry
updates, and Work Group development time. Meetings are
generally held at various locations throughout the year, one
meeting on the West Coast, one on the East Coast and one in
the central U.S. One meeting is held as a Council MEGA
meeting, which creates a unique opportunity for members
several NACHA Councils to meet for two and one-half days
with a common agenda, providing a unique networking and
cross-fertilization opportunity. Guests are encouraged to
complete an application to attend a council meeting to
assess membership interest. Guest attendance is a one-time
only opportunity for organizations interested in NACHA
council activities.
