SUSAN PANDY

Susan Pandy is Senior Director of the Internet Council at NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association, the leading organization in developing electronic solutions to improve the payments system. Since 2002, Susan has driven the council to realize its mission to advance electronic commerce over open networks by enabling digital business in a straight-through, secure and cost-effective manner. Through multiple projects and working groups, Susan has led the council in pursuing cutting edge industry issues related to online security, authentication, fraud, and payments over open networks. Susan is also responsible for supporting NACHAs Online Financial Services Strategy, which includes the Online Payments Pilot, as well as enhancing the organizations role in payment authentication and identity management by bringing new products to the marketplace.

Prior to joining NACHA, Ms. Pandy directed the Center for eGovernance at the National Academy of Public Administration, a congressionally chartered think tank in Washington, D.C., where she was responsible for developing a grassroots effort to address the challenges posed to government by the rise of digital technologies and the Internet. The scope of the work was a critical component of the Presidents Management Initiative for expanding electronic government. In this role, Susan was accountable for fundraising, program development, research and development, grantwriting, and overall program management and implementation.

Ms. Pandy has been published with the General Accounting Office, The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and The Public Manager. She holds an M.P.A from Cleveland State University and is a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Administration & Policy at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Susan is in the process of completing her dissertation on the topic of privacy and information management and protection in the federal government.
